Port Fouad Second Police Station
A citizen getting tortured inside the Port Fouad Second Police Station at the hands of police officers who beat him and call him the worst of names, threatening and intimidating him for attacking a chief police officer. According to the person who shared the video, ‘this [video] belongs to a case in which the victim is a chief police officer’. The video sharer, who claims to be a lawyer, and the defendant, who he says is called Ahmad, adds: ‘I was present with the defendant Ahmad, and I deny the charges. There is evidence that he did not commit the crime he is accused of. After attending the investigations with him at the Public Prosecutor’s office, he returned to Port Fouad Second Police Station. And I stumbled upon this video tonight, in which some police officers together with Mr Muhammad, the chief of investigation at the police station, are reveling in torturing the defendant and swearing at him’.
The video sharer added that the Ministry of Interior was still dealing with citizens with the same security mentality they had during the days of deposed President Hosni Mubarak, which was one of the reasons for the 25-January revolution, indicating that he will not leave it there, but will rather take all legal procedures against the officers at the Port Fouad Second Police Station. So far, the perpetrators have not been sentenced and even prosecuted.
