The Damascus Center for Human Rights Studies (DCHRS)

DCHRS organized three webinars focus on Sydnaya and Palmera prisons where thousands of people were and are still arbitrary detained. The webinars host three high profiles former prisoners in theses prisons to talk about their experience and shed a light on the importance of developing mapping of human rights violations which proves the deteriorating situation of human rights in the MENA region. It facilitated a debate among Syrians activists about the need of preserving these sites of memory and of shedding light on the suffering of the victims and survivors.
