Women’s Center for Guidance and Legal Awareness

As a part of the #MappingMENA project and in partnership with several other Sites of Conscience (SoF) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the Women’s Center for Guidance and Legal Awareness in Egypt held a special launch of the MENA Map. Dozens of local social and political activists were in attendance, including a special focus group that assisted in the development of the website. This launch also provided an opportunity for participants to draft transitional justice laws that deal with revealing the truths about human rights violations in Egypt.
